THE FIETE PROJECT
FIETE OBJECTIFS
FIETE aims to promote ways for currently unemployed recent graduates from VET courses to get maximum benefit from a long-duration internship in another European country leading to exciting employment opportunities. In this way, we will contribute to reversing the recent trend of a reduction in the number of transnational internship opportunities across all sectors & for graduates in particular due to the ongoing impact of COVID-19 & the reluctance of companies to host trainees from abroad.
In our research 87% of graduates said ‘lack of workplace experience’ was given by potential employers to explain an unsuccessful application, only 27% of companies had hosted a trainee for an internship in their company. Therefore, we will design digitally-based remote access learning resources for the preparation, realisation & valorisation of post diploma internships. The FIETE results will be tested by 40 graduates, 40 host companies & 10 VET providers in pilot studies in 5 countries
The FIETE results
The FIETE results will be digitally based, accessible easy access links, available in 6 languages & adaptable to other sectors, thereby dramatically increasing the potential impact & underlining the trans-sectoral dimension of the project. In this way, the FIETE project provides innovative digital solutions aligned with the technology & needs of today, opening up more opportunities & encouraging social inclusion, sustainable development & a positive attitude to European cooperation.
